About The Artist

Dina Petrelli was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she still resides. She majored in Graphic Design/Visual Communications and earned her degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. It was after earning a living as a Graphic Designer for 20 years that she turned to her love of painting and began to study under well known Pittsburgh artist Joyce Werwie Perry. It was at the lePoire Gallery in Crafton, PA where she was introduced to the palette knife. This continues to be her tool of the craft. She uses a limited palette of seven colors. Sunsets and sunrises are her favorite subject matter.
